The Academy Nursery School is rated as an ‘outstanding’ nursery school by Education & Training Inspectorate (ETI). We are delighted to announce The Academy Nursery School is now able to offer 52 FULLTIME PLACES for September 2025!!!!! To improve your chances of a place for your child, make sure you put The Academy Nursery School down as your first choice.

Our “Being Well, Doing Well” Journey…

We are thrilled to share an update on our journey to becoming a "Being Well, Doing Well" school, an initiative that places the mental health and wellbeing of our entire school community at its heart. This academic year will mark our third year of actively working towards becoming a "Being Well, Doing Well" school, an initiative that places the mental health and well-being of our children at the forefront of everything we do.

Our core belief is that when children feel well, they are better equipped to do well academically and socially. This commitment extends beyond our students to also encompass the well-being of our dedicated staff and, importantly, you as parents. We understand that a strong support system for everyone within our school community creates the best possible learning environment.

As we continue on this journey, you'll see our focus on well-being integrated into various aspects of school life. We're dedicated to creating a nurturing atmosphere where every child feels safe, valued, and understood, enabling them to thrive both emotionally and academically.

Welcome to the Rainbow Room

The Rainbow Room is designed as a serene environment where children can engage with their sensory needs in a calming setting. This space is thoughtfully arranged to provide various sensory experiences, allowing children to explore textures, sounds, and visuals at their own pace.

Our goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere where children can feel comfortable exploring their senses. The Rainbow Room is not just a quiet place; it is an opportunity for growth, learning, and exploration in a supportive environment.

Eco Schools

To contribute towards our school working towards being an Eco school we have now got our own community clothes bank. If you are doing a clear out at home feel free to leave in unwanted clothes, shoes, towels, curtains, sheets & blankets. The bank will be emptied every Wednesday. Feel free to share this with the local community, friends, family and neighbours
